Pfizer came to The Relations Group in order to raise the profile of their 'Don't Go Cold Turkey' educational campaign. The campaign was based upon research commissioned which found willpower is the least effective method of quitting smoking. The aim was to drive smokers to their website for tips on quitting.
In order to get their messages across to the public, we held a studio day to discuss regional statistics surrounding quitting smoking, with help and advice for smokers looking to quit. Pfizer chose two spokespeople; celebrity personality and ex-smoker, Michelle Collins, alongside the BBC's medical correspondent, Dr Sarah Jarvis. The campaign was a huge success, securing 6 BBC stations, Real Radio Scotland and The KMFM Network amongst many others; with a total listener reach of over 7 million. |
