BUSINESS RATES INCREASE 2014

Radio Interviews, TV Coverage & Online Coverage
Mission
CVS wanted to position themselves as the largest and most credible business rates specialists and make listeners aware of the expert services that CVS provide.

To achieve this, Mark Rigby, Chief Executive of CVS, and David Ford, Regional Director of CVS, were positioned as specialist spokespeople to discuss the current issues surrounding the current business rates system.

Mark and David were able to discuss how business rates effect specific regions, what the Government are doing to deal with the backlog of appeals and what they anticipated would be the consequences of new Government proposals. The campaign was a huge success, gaining significant interest from the BBC across radio, TV and online.

The radio campaign received coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Lancashire, with TV coverage on BBC Breakfast and an article on the BBC News homepage.

Campaign in Numbers
CVS secured a reach of 44.7 million people with 47 minutes worth of coverage.
CVS’s campaign secured a total of 6 items of radio coverage up and down the UK, 1 piece of National TV coverage and 1 piece of BBC News online coverage.
